when pictures speak, words shy away

Last year, I was at the famous Rock garden of Chandigarh when I took this picture. Till date, this is my favourite picture as I feel the age-old adage come true " a picture is worth a thousand words". So, I won't elaborate on my feelings about this image and let you all take a guess or just interpret it in your own ways. I will be looking forward to reading your comments.
Ciao!

  1. When I check this picture after clicking, it transported me to a new world- the world of women labourers in India. They cook, nurture, work and smile....they are cradling a whole wealth of happiness in their hearts inspite of the odds of life. The blue-hued porcelain junk reflects on the myriad troubles in their lives that these courageous women leave behind every morning.....looking forward to a day full of sunshine, strength and hope.
I salute humbly to these brave Indian women!

  2. Communication is ROOT from which all the organized societies in the entire living world have evolved.Pictorial communication has a tendency to adapt to the perception of
the viewer. The same picture may convey different meaning to different viewers as in the case of the above picture. My querry here

  3. Dear Mentor
    That's a good question!
can pictures be a totally reliable means of communication?

    Well, my response is:
The early cave dwellers used to communicate through drawings. Gradually, their drwaings evolved into more compact letters, then words, then sentences and then paragraphs, essays and books. Complex sentence structures and grammer came into being.
If the pictures were good enough, we wouldn't have known words. No?
Today, its not just words but tamed words, beautiful words, performative words, poetic words, so on and so forth.

Thanks for your interest. I look forward to more comments for the benfit of me and my readers.
    Thanks.
