And The Winner is........!

For all those savvy media planners, wondering what to include in your new social media list for a campaign, here are some quick facts that I just picked up from a web information company. Who's in the race and who's out!

As one would imagine, GOOGLE tops the list followed by Facebook, leaving Yahoo panting at #3.

I guess one of the reasons yahoo is popular is its layout. You get to catch on to the latest NEWS around the world. Its almost like- you can't miss on what's happening if Yahoo is your default opening site. Although, I must confess that Google has been my favourite search engine for almost four years now. Another good point about yahoo is easy accesibility to personal mail from its home page.

MSN is lurking at #6 on this web company's charts.Google India is ranking at #12; the reason being that apart from its efficiency as a great search engine, google's offerings include blogging and Social media- Orkut which are both extremely popular with the Indians.

What shocks me is that Twitter ranked at #13, especially with all the hue and cry since last year's elections when Stephen Harper was busy tweeting his fan following.

You Tube ranked at #4. And I am not surprised. I check almost everything that's video-related on You Tube. Global internet users' monthly average for You Tube visitors is 19.88%. Apparently Americans top the list of You Tube users.
